sketched out the mural the night before… all I had on me were these two pencils barely sharpened…

ended up scraping them down to the bone…

I offered the owner of the restaurant to flip through Pinterest and pick a photo of a hummingbird that she liked.

she loved the color palette of this bird, so i ran with that and used the photo for reference of the body :)

I had asked her if I could work in my style and she was open to it!

I had 3 days to complete it…

I worked 3 full days sunrise to sunset in the Guatemalan heat

the owner provided home cooked meals and shared laughs and blasted reggae

Guatemalans are some of the most warm, light-spirited, loving and welcoming people. I had the best time in Guatemala and felt so at home.

I would love to do more work there
